My favourite blogger tools of all time

I have been blogging for almost 9 months now and over the course of time I have found my most adored apps and softwares that I love to use and fully trust with all my content.

In today’s blogpost I will be sharing my top softwares, how I use them and tutorials for a select few (on my YouTube).

Let’s get straight into it!

  • Canva

I use Canva to design all my graphics, thumbnails, stories and any posts that I need to edit with text or anything. It’s really easy to use and you get a lot of features in it.

There are many different templates, designs, images, sounds and elements you can choose from and it’s all free too! There is however a “Canva pro” in which you get additional features.

You can visit : https://www.canva.com to

learn more about the brand and its features.

  • Procreate

Procreate is my go to for any designs and backgrounds I want to create myself from scratch and customise. I use it for watermarks, logos, patterns and a lot more!

I use procreate on my iPad and I love it.

  • Unsplash/Pexels

Let’s be real here, we don’t always have time to take pictures for every single piece of content we have to post. Unsplash and pexels are two copyright right free sites - stock free images. I use both of them for all of my softwares on multiple occasions. In fact, see the thumbnail on this post? I didn’t take that picture, it’s from unsplash.

Using stock free images is not a shortcut! One thing to always remember is that sites such as unsplash and pexels are there to help you!

Hello Thematic

Similar to Unsplash and pexels, thematic is a copyright free site BUT for music! Thematic provides you with over thousands of songs to use. All you have to do is connect the software you’re using to thematic (in my case YouTube) and you’re good to go!

I know that a lot of people may be wary about connecting sites of their own content sites to other softwares and I was one of them. After my research I came to the conclusion that thematic was a source I could trust with my content.

Just be sure you are adding all the details thematic asks you to in your post’s description/caption and you should be good!

Later

At times we all get so overwhelmed by all the work we have to do we forget to do some stuff, such as posting on instagram for example. I use later to “pre post” my posts on instagram. I add the main post, hashtags, caption, etc.

I will attach a quick tutorial going over the bases of later here as well.

Linktr.ee

I started my blog off on a software called “blogger,” I didn’t have a bookstagram, Pinterest or tiktok at the time so I would just paste my blog’s link everywhere and I was good.

I started my Bookstagram in march and I didn’t really see a reason to have a linker.ee but when I introduced The Reading Cornerstone to more platforms it was really crucial for me actually to set up a linktr.ee.

On my linker.ee I have around five links I think and they all direct you to specific platforms.

I actually have three different linktr.ee(s). I have one for all of my blog’s main platforms, one which has helplinks you can use and the last one which is just a linktr.ee to hold these linktr.ee(s) in.

Sound confusing? Here I’ll attach a screen recording of what my linktr.ee looks like as well as a quick overview tutorial.
